Wanting to create a space scene in a room I didn't want to make all the walls black. It just seemed like it would be depressing. So instead we gave the room a little flare by giving it a break-away effect. The edge of the painting is not just painted to look like it's broken from the room, but textured to feel that way. Along with the textured edge two of the three planets are textured adding a great three dimensional appearance.
